Savory Stuffed Pancakes with Creamy Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Pancakes:
  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • 250g minced meat or small chicken pieces

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

For the Creamy Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • ½ cup chicken or beef broth

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • A pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pancakes:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and black pepper.

  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.

  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.

  4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil.

  5. Pour a small amount of batter into the pan and spread it into a circle.

  6. Cook for about a minute until bubbles appear, then flip and cook the other side.

  7. Repeat with the remaining batter.

2. Prepare the Filling:

  1. Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until soft.

  2. Add the garlic, then the minced meat or chicken, and cook until fully done.

  3. Season with salt, pepper, and spices. Let it cool slightly.

  4. If desired, mix in grated cheese for a creamier taste.

3. Assemble the Pancakes:

  1. Take a pancake and place a portion of the filling in the center.

  2. Roll it into a wrap or fold it like an envelope.

4. Prepare the Creamy Sauce:

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute until slightly golden.

  3. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

  4. Add the broth, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Stir until smooth and thickened.

5. Serve:

  1. Arrange the stuffed pancakes on a serving plate.

  2. Pour the creamy sauce over the pancakes.

  3. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
