Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
300g pasta (penne or shell pasta)
300g ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp oil
½ cup ketchup
1 tsp mustard
½ cup broth (or water)
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Cheese Sauce:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup heavy cream or milk
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
Boil water in a large pot with salt.
Cook the pasta until it's almost done (al dente).
Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
2. Prepare the Beef Mixture:
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onions and sauté until soft.
Add minced garlic and stir for a minute.
Add ground beef and cook until browned.
Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add Flavors:
Mix in ketchup, mustard, and broth.
Let it simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
4. Make the Cheese Sauce:
Pour in heavy cream (or milk) into the beef mixture.
Gradually add cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
5. Combine Everything:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well until fully coated.
If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water.
6. Serve:
Serve hot and garnish with extra cheese or chopped parsley if desired.
